Mesotherapy uses customized micro-injections of medications, amino acids, and vitamins that are administered into the mesoderm layer of the skin by the cosmetic surgeon. Mesotherapy's cosmetic application treats various skin conditions such as hair loss, acne, cellulite, stretch marks, scars and wrinkles. Additionally, Mesotherapy is frequently used to eliminate sagging skin of the face and neck, retard the progression of wrinkling, and rejuvenate complexions offering a more youthful appearance.

Technique: The cosmetic surgeon maps the area to be treated. Once the area is mapped, the site is cleansed with alcohol, and the patient placed on the treatment table before microinjections are given. When treating cellulite, mapping is extremely important, since most cellulite will disappear when lying down, making it difficult for the cosmetic surgeon to know exactly where to treat. No anaesthesia is required.

Complements: Occasionally, Mesotherapy is used in conjunction with Botox and/or Restylane to treat and reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles, furrows, lines, etc.

Results: Each treatment session lasts about 30 minutes. Typical benefits are seen after 5 or 6 visits although results obviously depend from person to person. After each session you may return to normal activity with no downtime. In the first part of the treatment series we may ask you to schedule several visits close together to enable us to give you the best chance of a successful result.
